A street in Brooklyn has been renamed for Kade Lewin, the 12-year-old boy who was shot and killed earlier this year.

Joined by Lewin's family, local leaders and politicians unveiled the renamed street at the section of Linden Boulevard and East 56th Street in East Flatbush Thursday.

The street's name is now Kade Ashton Tyler Lewin Way.

Kade was sitting in a car with his 20-year-old cousin Jenna and 8-year-old niece Kylie when a gunman opened fire in East Flatbush in March.

Kade was fatally struck in the head. His cousin, Jenna, was shot six times. Jenna survived her wounds.

Eight-year-old Kylie, seated in the back, was unharmed.

No arrest has been made in connection to the shooting.
