NEW YORK — Mayor Bill de Blasio appears to be planning a run for governor.

The New York State Board of Elections says de Blasio filed two of the three documents needed to register a committee, but did not enter a year or a political office.

Appearing on MSNBC and CNN Tuesday morning the mayor would not confirm a definitive run for the governor's mansion in Albany but mirrored comments made on NY1's "Inside City Hall" less than a day earlier that he wants to continue getting his message out.

"I will aggressively put out my ideas and each thing in it's own time. But I'm really looking forward to getting into this bigger discussion about where this state is going," De Blasio said.

De Blasio has repeatedly indicated he was considering a run.

He would face Gov. Kathy Hochul and State Attorney General Letitia James in the primary.

Public Advocate Jumaane Williams is also considering a run.
