NEW YORK — Investigators are looking for a suspect wanted in connection to a carjacking in Manhattan over the weekend where a child was briefly kidnapped.

Police say just before 8 p.m. on Sunday the owner of the vehicle went into a grocery store located at 2212 Third Avenue in East Harlem and left his car running.

His 11-year-old son was in the front passenger seat.

That's when the suspect got inside the car and drove away with the child.

He let the boy go 20 minutes later and the NYPD eventually found the car abandoned in Queens.

Police say the man has a full beard and short, dark hair.
