As wildfires rage through the West Coast, millions of acres have been reduced to ash and thousands of people have been displaced from their homes. The frequency of deadly wildfires have been increasing each year, along with stronger storms and flooding.

David Wallace-Wells, deputy editor and climate columnist for New York Magazine, joined Errol to talk about how climate change has been contributing to extreme weather and what immediate steps the federal government and cities should be taking, including New York City. And he discussed how divided President Trump and Joe Biden are on climate change and environmental policy.

He also talked about new research into the long-term effects of COVID-19 and analyzed the public health response to the pandemic.
