NEW YORK CITY - A tropical storm warning is in effect for today for all of New York City. Isaias could bring wind gusts around 60 miles per hours this afternoon and a small storm surge of 1 to 3 feet.
Showers are on and off this morning, but any shower could bring brief heavy rain and gusty winds.
The rain and wind will peak in the afternoon and early evening hours. Watch for areas of poor drainage flooding, and remember to never drive through a flooded roadway.
The winds peak between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. and could gust as high as 60 mph. Watch for downed tree branches.
The storm surge will be 1 to 3 feet. Low tide happens this afternoon, but between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. this evening, high tide could result in some minor coastal flooding.
