NEW YORK — New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission Chair Aloysee Heredia Jarmoszuk has resigned after an internal review into an incident last week, the mayor's office said Wednesday.

The resignation was first reported by the New York Post after the paper obtained a recording in which Heredia Jarmoszuk allegedly mocks TLC employees during a virtual meeting on Feb. 15.

"We were made aware of this incident last week," said Charles Lutvak, a spokesperson for Mayor Eric Adams. "We have conducted an internal review and will be accepting her resignation."

Heredia Jarmoszuk was hired by former Mayor Bill de Blasio in February 2020. During his transition, Adams announced he would keep her on in his administration.
