Three children and an adult were killed in a fire in the Bronx that erupted Sunday morning, the FDNY said.

The four victims who were killed were 10-year-old Kalheed Waleed Ban Saleh, 12-year-old Mohamed Waleed Ahmed, 10-month-old Barah Saleh and 22-year-old Ahmed Saleh, the NYPD said.

The fire occurred at a two-story, private dwelling on Quimby Avenue in the Bronx at around 6 a.m., FDNY officials said.

A member of the victims' family said the 10-year-old boy, the 12-year-old boy and the 22-year-old man were brothers. The 10-month-old girl was the 22-year-old man's daughter, according to the family member.

A police source on the scene said the 10-year-old and 12-year-old were pronounced dead after their bodies were recovered from the building. The 10-month-old infant died at the hospital.

The FDNY later confirmed that a fourth person, the 22-year-old man, also died at the hospital.

A 21-year-old woman jumped out the window, suffered a back injury and was taken to the hospital in critical condition, according to the police source. A 41-year-old man was taken to the hospital in critical condition as well, the FDNY said.

According to the police source, the two victims who survived were part of the same family as the four victims who died.

Fire officials say they arrived on the scene within four minutes. It took over one hour for the FDNY to get the blaze under control.

"Very serious fire," Kevin Brennan, an FDNY assistant chief, told reporters.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

Bx22 and Bx5 buses were detoured in both directions due to "FDNY activity" Sunday morning, NYCT Bus said on Twitter.
