The new estimated jackpot will be the nation's second-largest lottery prize.

The Mega Millions record jackpot is $1.537 billion, won in South Carolina on October 23, 2018; that prize remains the world’s largest lottery prize ever won on a single ticket.

Tuesday's numbers were: 07-29-60-63-66, Mega Ball: 15.

Eight players in Florida, California, Illinois, New Jersey (2), New York (2), and Ohio successfully matched all five white numbers to win $1 million. Another Ohio player matched all five numbers and the multiplier to win $3 million.

The $1.28 billion prize is for winners who choose the annuity option, paid annually over 30 years. Most winners opt for the cash option, which for the next drawing Friday night is an estimated $648.2 million.

The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 302.5 million.

Mega Millions is played in 45 states as well as Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The game is coordinated by state lotteries.
