On-and-off storms that are expected to pass through the city this afternoon and evening could bring heavy rain, with flooding possible in some areas.

The slow-moving storms are expected to roll through the five boroughs between mid-afternoon and 10 p.m.

Some neighborhoods could see street flooding, while others may not get much rain at all. Travelers should avoid walking and driving in flooded areas.

Highs will be near 80 for the rest of the day, with lows in the mid-60s.

After the rain tapers off, Friday is set to be cloudy, with increasing sunshine through the rest of the day.
