BRONX, N.Y. — A man has been arrested in the alleged murder of his ex-girlfriend in the Bronx on Wednesday.

Police say the victim, Flor Recio, entered her apartment at 1500 Noble Avenue in Van Nest around 4 a.m. to find Exiquio Castillo, 47, already there.

According to investigators, an argument turned physical, and Castillo allegedly used two knives to stab Recio several times before running off.

He is charged with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.

Police say the two are parents of 16-year-old twin girls, neither of whom were present at the time of the attack.

An investigation is ongoing.
