NEW YORK — The New York City Police Department is looking for a man they say stabbed a woman on the subway over the holiday weekend.

Authorities say the victim got on a southbound A train at West 4th Street at around 8 a.m. Sunday.

Investigators say the attacker was angry she did not hold the subway doors. An argument then broke out before the man stabbed the woman twice.

The victim exited at Chambers Street where she was rushed to the hospital.
