NEW YORK - A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit by a woman from Arizona who tried to sue Governor Andrew Cuomo over his quarantine order for out-of-state travelers.

Cynthia Page argued the order is “the equivalent of a house arrest" and prevented her from helping a friend move in Brooklyn.

But the judge said the state is justified and Page failed to prove she was harmed by the order.

Page's attorney, David Yerushalmi, called Cuomo's quarantine decision a "political power grab".

"The right to travel within the united states is a fundamental right. Governor Cuomo's quarantine imposes and infringes upon that right and to test that in court, that's not frivolous, that's American," Yerushalmi said.

Visitors from the 31 states and two U.S. territories must self-isolate for two weeks upon entering New York and provide information regarding their whereabouts.
