Florida now has more confirmed coronavirus cases than New York State.

While New York was once the epicenter of the pandemic, Florida has now recorded more than 414,000 cases. It recorded nearly 77,000 cases in the last week.

The sunshine state is also seeing record daily hospitalizations and deaths. In total, 6,000 people have died.

Florida only trails California, which leads the U.S. with more than 435,000 cases. New York ranks third, but has recorded the most deaths of any state at 32,000.
