NEW YORK - A young man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly attacking and trying to rob an on-duty officer in Manhattan last week.

Elijah Hodge, 19, is facing charges in the incident.

Back on October 10, police say Hodge and a second person approached the plainclothes officer on West 41st Street and 10th Avenue in Hell's Kitchen.

Investigators say one person asked the officer what he had on him while simulating a gun in his waistband, and the other punched the officer in the head, causing some minor bruising.

The duo then ran off in opposite directions.

Police are still looking for the second person involved.
