The Mets officially introduced their new general manager on Tuesday, naming the former agent of some of their players to run the team.

Brodie Van Wagenen previously represented Mets stars like Todd Frazier, Jacob deGrom, and Yoenis Cespedes.

Speaking at a news conference at Citi Field, Van Wagenen promised to turn the team around.

"We will win now. As Jeff said, we will win the in the future," Van Wagenen said. "We are going to develop a winning culture and a winning mindset, and we will deliver this city, and this fanbase, a team they can be proud of."

Van Wagenen replaces Sandy Alderson, who took a leave of absence in June following a recurrence of cancer. Three co-GMs had been running the team on an interim basis since then.
