Former Mayor Michael Bloomberg was in Charlotte on Sunday to open his presidential campaign's North Carolina headquarters.

Bloomberg says he's committed to registering 500,000 voters from traditionally under-represented groups in that state.

He discussed several other topics, including why President Donald Trump isn't right for the job, as well as raising the minimum wage.

"Minimum wage in North Carolina is still $7.25. I don’t know how to break this to anybody, but if you think about it, nobody can feed a family on $7.25 an hour, no less buy gifts to put under the tree," Bloomberg said. "In New York, I’m happy to say we raised the minimum wage. It's gone up to $15 a hour."

The Democratic presidential primary in North Carolina will be held March 3.
