Democratic officials in Orleans and Wyoming counties on Wednesday endorsed Gov. Kathy Hochul's bid for a full term as she continues to receive nods from county officials around the state.

Hochul is seeking a full, four-year term next year, but is likely to face what could be one of the more competitive Democratic primaries in the last 20 years.

For now, no rival has officially entered the race. But Attorney General Letitia James, New York City Public Advocate Jumaane Williams and Rep. Tom Suozzi are all considered likely candidates. New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio has also not ruled out a run.

“I’m grateful to be supported by the Orleans and Wyoming Democratic County Committees,” Hochul said. “I had the pleasure of representing Orleans and Wyoming Counties while in Congress, and I understand firsthand that these committees are fighting hard every day to elect good Democrats at every level. It’s an honor to accept their endorsements.”

Polls have shown Hochul with a lead over a field of a variety of different candidates ahead of the June primary.

Hochul in the last several days has received nods from NAACP New York President Hazel Dukes as well as Emily's List, an activist group that backs Democratic women for office.
