SPAAMFAA, The Society for the Preservation and Appreciation of Antique Motor Fire Apparatus in American will be holding their 2017 Summer Convention and Fire truck muster in Watertown and Sackets Harbor.  The convention will be hosted by the Thousand Islands Hose Haulers Chapter of SPAAMFAA.

The National Summer Convention will be held Wednesday, August 2-5, 2017.  The Convention will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn in Watertown, NY.  The Antique Fire Truck Muster will be held on the Polo Grounds at Historic Madison Barracks in Sackets Harbor on Saturday, August 5th from 10:00am – 3:00 pm.  We are expecting 300-400 members to attend from across the US and Canada.

SPAAMFAA is a national organization dedicated to the preservation and education of antique fire apparatus.  This organization is International with chapters in both the United States and Canada and has members from as far away as Sweden.  The goal of the society is to encourage the preservation of all types of fire-fighting apparatus and equipment and has 57 chapters across the country.

The Thousand Islands Hose Haulers:

The Hose Haulers is a group with members representing Jefferson, Lewis, St. Lawrence and Oswego Counties.  Membership is open to any individual or group who have an interest in the history of fire-fighting.   Ownership of a vehicle is not a requirement for membership, just an interest in the preservation of our history in the North Country.  For more information visit our website at:  ti-hosehaulers.org.
