NEW YORK — Police are searching for a man in connection to an attack in a Manhattan subway station over the weekend.

Investigators say the man seen on security video encountered three people inside the West Fourth Street–Washington Square subway station in Greenwich Village just after 8 p.m. Sunday.

Investigators say there was some type of dispute and someone threw a beverage at the man. 

Police say he took out a knife and slashed the male victim on his left hand. 

The suspect then took off on a northbound A or C train, according to investigators.

The NYPD says the victim was treated at the scene by EMS and was in stable condition.
