NEW YORK — Monday’s winter storm covered parts of the five boroughs with as many as 19 inches of snow, and it’s not over yet. With an additional one to three inches expected overnight, the storm has the potential to become one of the top ten in terms of snowfall that the city has ever seen.

While some New Yorkers attempted to get an early jump on digging themselves out Monday, others enjoyed activities like sledding and snowman building.
