The second person convicted in the deadly shooting of a teenage girl on an MTA bus was sentenced Wednesday in a Queens courtroom.

Shamel Capers, who was just 15 at the time of the shooting, was found guilty of one count of second-degree murder and two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon last month. On Wednesday, a judge sentenced him to 15 years to life in prison for his role in the killing.

Capers and Kevin McClinton - who was 21 at the time - fired multiple rounds into a Q6 bus in Jamaica back in May 2013. One of the bullets pierced the bus window and struck 14-year-old passenger D'aja Robinson, who had just left a Sweet Sixteen party.

McClinton was convicted on second degree murder charges last year. He is currently serving a prison term of 40 years to life.
