JAMESTOWN, NY -- The Easter Bunny is hopping down to Jamestown for a 70-year-old tradition.

More than 3,000 candy filled eggs have been donated for the annual Easter Egg Hunt at Allen Park. Those include 39 special prize eggs with Walmart gift cards and giant stuffed animals. Kids 12 and under are welcome to participate in the free event.

"After a long winter, the kids really want to get outside and this is something fun for them to do around the Easter holiday and it's another way to expose children and parents to the great parks we have in the city," said Julia Ciesla-Hanley, Jamestown recreation coordinator.

The Hunt kicks off at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday April 15.
