BLADEN COUNTY, N.C. – The Bladen County Sheriff's Office says it is now investigating a missing persons case as a homicide.
Judith Hyder, 53, was last seen by her roommate on Dec. 7 and was reported missing on Dec. 9.
Officials say Hyder's car was found a few miles from their home about a week later.
Deputies have conducted ground and aerial searches to attempt to locate her.
Hyder is described as 5’5” weighing about 200 pounds, with dark brown hair and hazel eyes.
Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call 911.
