Police are investigating the death of a man who was shot in Jamaica.

First responders were called to the intersection of 107th Avenue and 164th Street just after noon Saturday.

They say they found the victim unconscious with two gunshot wounds to the face.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Family and friends say he leaves behind a wife and daughter.

"He was just a good dude in the community,” said one resident. “It's an unfortunate situation; people gotta go this way, living in Jamaica Queens."

"He was a good guy, he had a good heart, he loved everybody,” another resident said. “He just loved everybody and it's hurtful that this happened because he be outside all the time, he always showing everybody love."

No arrests have been made.
