Traffic will be diverted on Sunday at three crossings – the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge, the Henry Hudson Bridge and the Hugh L. Carey Tunnel – due to the MS Bike tour, which is scheduled to take place on Sunday, according to the MTA.

The MTA said the bike race, which is a 30-mile, traffic-free route on the West Side of Manhattan, will not result in the closure of the bridges or the tunnel, but several exits and entrances will be impacted.

The agency says drivers should be aware of closures and use alternative routes, when possible.

These are the changes:

Henry Hudson Bridge

7 a.m. to Noon: There will be no access to the southbound Henry Hudson Bridge heading into Manhattan.

Hugh L. Carey Tunnel

6:45 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.: All traffic exiting the tunnel in Manhattan will be detoured northbound onto West Street or through the Trinity Place exit, which will remain open. The NYPD will close southbound West Street and the Battery Park Underpass from West Street to the FDR Drive.

RFK Bridge

7 a.m. to 10 a.m.: The northbound FDR Drive and Harlem River Drive will be closed, as will the northbound Harlem River Drive exit ramp from the RFK Bridge. All Manhattan-bound traffic crossing the RFK Bridge will exit onto the southbound FDR Drive or East 125th Street.

The department recommends drivers to sign up for MTA emails or text alerts, and to check the Bridges and Tunnels homepage, for the latest traffic information.
