Coney Island turned into a worldwide boot camp of sorts on Saturday.

Competitors from all over the world squared off to see who could do the most pull-ups, push-ups, and dips in 60 seconds. The calisthenics competition was part of the Brooklyn Beach Sports Festival, hosted by the Parks Department. Everybody was invited to step up to the challenge.

Ronee Mattingly, Deputy Chief of Recreation at the Parks Department says "we offer activities where you don't typically have them in your neighborhood, so this is an opportunity for you kind of try it out and if you like it to go to the recreation centers and continue to participate in these type of activities."

The free event also featured a variety of family friendly activities like soccer, volleyball and flag football.
