There are a number of changes to mass transit coming in the next few days.

The MTA's free overnight cab rides for essential workers will end at 4:30 a.m. on Sunday.

Those free rides have been offered since May, when the MTA started shutting down the subway overnight for cleaning.

The subway will continue to close every night between 1:00 a.m. and 5 a.m.

Starting Monday, MTA bus riders will have to board from the front and pay their fares again.

Rear-boarding and free rides are ending now that every bus in the fleet has plexiglass panels and curtains to separate drivers and passengers.

And a new busway is coming to Downtown Brooklyn on Monday.

Service will run along Jay Street, from Tillary Street to the intersection of Livingston and Smith Streets. The area will be largely limited to buses, trucks and cyclists.

The Jay Street busway will be open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.
