Tara Lynn Wagner joined the NY1 team in March 2007 and has filled several roles over the years. She’s a reporter and anchor, and has helmed the Money Matters Report since 2009, focusing on personal finance issues like credit card debt, student loans and retirement savings. 

Tara Lynn is a regular contributor to "On Stage Across America" and previously to "It Ain't Rocket Science."  She has reported on two papal visits, one Super Bowl, several hurricanes and snow storms, and countless parades, including NY1's live broadcast of the Village Halloween Parade in 2009 and 2010.  Her assignments have taken her from New Hampshire to Orlando, from Washington, D.C. to San Diego, and many places in between.

In 2015, she traveled to Japan and filed a series of reports called "Trending in Tokyo" with NY1’s sister station, Tokyo MX-TV.  The series won the New York Press Club Award for Best Feature Reporting.

A graduate of Bard College, Tara Lynn has won numerous awards for her work, including the New York State Broadcasters Association Television Award for Outstanding Feature News Story, and the New York State Associated Press Broadcasters Award for Best Feature and Best Interview.  She has received two Excellence in Financial Journalism Awards from the New York State Society of CPAs.

Before landing her first news job in Tennessee, Tara Lynn toured the United States and Asia doing musical theatre.  She has also played a NY1 anchor and reporter on TV shows like "Damages," "The Strain," and "Law & Order: SVU."  Tara Lynn met her husband on the set of "Saturday Night Live" and they have two beautiful daughters.
