With so many entertainment choices New York City has to offer, it can be difficult to make a choice. Look no further. "On Stage" host Frank DiLella has curated a list of “must-see” shows this week, directing you to the best of Broadway, off-Broadway and beyond.

"Prima Facie" on Broadway

Fresh off a celebratory weekend at The Oliviers – “Prima Facie” starring “Killing Eve” actress Jodie Comer begins previews on Broadway at The John Golden Theatre on Tuesday night.

The show won the 2023 Olivier for best play – and Jodie won the Olivier for best actress.  The American premiere centers around Tessa – a lawyer – who comes face to face with an unexpected event where according to press notes – she’s “confronted by the lines where the patriarchal power of the law, burden of proof and morals diverge.”

“Prima Facie” officially opens on April 23.

"White Girl In Danger" Off-Broadway

Moving to the off-Broadway scene – the highly anticipated new musical “White Girl in Danger” by Tony and Pulitzer Prize winner Michael R. Jackson is currently playing at Second Stage’s Kiser Theatre.

The show is a co-production with The Vineyard Theatre and is being billed as “a fever dream mashup of classic daytime and primetime soap operas, Lifetime movies, and red-hot melodrama.”

Jackson – of course was praised last season for his work on “A Strange Loop.”

"Judy Gold – Yes I Can Say That!"

New York City favorite Judy Gold is currently bringing her new solo skit center stage with “Yes I Can Say That!” now playing at 59E59 Theaters.

The show runs through April 16.

On the cabaret front

Alysha Umphress is teaming back up with theater veteran Jeff Blumenkrantz at Joe’s Pub on April 9 with “Alysha Umphress swings Jeff Blumenkrantz Again.”

Be prepared for an evening of “jazzy story driven goodness!”
