Former SUNY Poly President Alain Kaloyeros and two of the upstate New York developers implicated in the sprawling Buffalo Billion corruption case were released from federal custody on Saturday, according to the U.S. Bureau of Prisons.

The release of Kaloyeros, as well as Steven Aiello and Louis Ciminelli, comes as the U.S. Supreme Court is expected to review the corruption case, which also had led to the arrest and conviction of Joe Percoco, a former close aide to ex-Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

The U.S. Second Circuit Court of Appeals has upheld convictions twice in the case following challenges by lawyers for Percoco. His appeals have stemmed from the claim he could not have been convicted of public corruption because he was a private citizen at the time.

Percoco as of Wednesday afternoon was still listed as an inmate of a re-entry management field office in Brooklyn.

The U.S. Supreme Court in recent years has struck down some public corruption cases in recent years, including those in New Jersey and Virginia.
