One person was critically injured and three others suffered minor injuries Monday morning after a two-alarm fire tore through a Williamsburg apartment complex, FDNY officials said.

More than 100 firefighters responded to the blaze at 265 Penn St., which started at approximately 6:30 a.m., according to authorities.

Thirteen more people were treated at the scene for non-life threatening injuries, the FDNY said.

In total, firefighters removed 17 people from the burning building, according to fire officials. 

The person who was critically injured was rushed to Brooklyn Hospital, while the three victims who sustained minor injuries were taken to NYU Medical Center, the FDNY said.

At a press conference held near the scene of the incident, officials said the cause of the fire was still under investigation.

The fire was deemed under control around 7:45 a.m.
