Police are investigating after a father and his daughter were physically assaulted in a Manhattan bodega earlier this month.

The attack was caught on a surveillance video. Police say on July 7th, 41-year-old Victor Medina and his 22-year-old daughter were in the bodega on Amsterdam Avenue and 164th Street in Washington Heights when his daughter and another woman got into an altercation with a group of people.

The dispute got heated and Medina was knocked to the ground unconscious and kicked repeatedly. His daughter was punched, kicked and struck on the head with beer bottles.

A bodega worker was shocked at what he witnessed.

“I never see something like that inside the store in ten years. I see a fight like that with bottles and I don’t saw the complete video, because I stop it when I saw first thing when they hit him with the bottle I don’t want to see no more, I don’t want to be involved with something like that,” said Jorge Lopez, a bodega employee.

Medina’s wife witnessed the attack from outside the bodega.

Police say as the alleged suspects fled the scene, they stole Medina's wife's cell phone, just after she dialed 911.

Medina was taken to the hospital with four loose teeth and later released.

His daughter was treated at the scene.

Police have identified three of the alleged suspects as 21-year-old Devonte Phillips, 22-year-old Tyquan Dupont and 26-year-old Tyrone Lawrence.
