A new off-Broadway show is celebrating the life of the late great Blues and Jazz singer Alberta Hunter. Born in Memphis, she lived in New York City much of her life forging a remarkable career that spanned some 8 decades.

'Leaving the Blues by Jewelle Gomez' is on stage at the Flea Theatre and the company is planning a special event for Black History Month this weekend.

Actress Rosalind Brown who plays Hunter and Mark Finley, the show's director joined Live At Noon to discuss the winning show.
