Officials are celebrating the completion of a new affordable housing complex.

Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. joined several partners from different city agencies to cut the ribbon on the new MLK Plaza in Mott Haven.

There are 167 units, with 33 of them being set aside for formerly homeless New Yorkers.

The 12-story building also features a fitness room, on-site laundry, and a residents lounge among other amenities.

Organizers say this section of the South Bronx was originally geared towards industrial use, but the new residential development was made possible by changes to the zoning laws.
