A scary moment occurred in Queens today after a piece of track fell from the 7 Train, piercing an SUV's windshield.
It happened on 65th Street near Roosevelt Avenue in Woodside. NY1 has obtained surveillance video of the close call.
City Councilman Jimmy Van Bramer, who represents the area, says the driver was not hurt in the incident.
He's now calling for the MTA to conduct a full investigation.
The MTA issued a statement in response to the incident, which reads: "We take this incident extremely seriously, are conducting a full investigation into what happened, have personnel ensuring the rest of the area is safe, and are relieved that no one was injured."
