We're learning more about the two women whose bodies were found duct-taped together off the Hudson River.

According to sources, Tala Farea and her older sister, Rotana Farea, were Saudi Arabian nationals with a history of running away.

Officials said the women were placed in a shelter after running away from their Fairfax, Viriginia home.

Their mom told police that they were seeking asylum in the U.S. following the Saudi government's order that the entire family return home.

Police found the sisters last Wednesday near the river off W. 68th St. in Riverside Park. They are still trying to determine where they entered the water.

Their cause of death remains under investigation.
