NEW YORK - Things are returning to normal at Grand Central after Tuesday's storm left thousands stranded at the station.

The storm hit right at the peak of the evening commute.

Metro-North temporarily suspended service on the Harlem, Hudson and New Haven lines.

Most entrances at the station were also temporarily closed to prevent overcrowding.

The MTA says it expects to operate Metro-North on a normal schedule on most of its lines Wednesday.

The agency says it has canceled some morning trains on its Hudson and Harlem lines as crews work to remove down tress from tracks.
