WASHINGTON - The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday rejected the Trump administration's latest court appeal of the Deferred Action Childhood Arrivals program.

The lower court order currently requires the administration to continue accepting DACA renewal applications.

In an unusual move, the administration looked to bypass a federal appeals court and go straight to the Supreme Court.

President Donald Trump had set March 5 as the end date for the DACA program, but the Supreme Court's denial allows applications to be accepted indefinitely.
