With the fall season comes the indoor "Heat Season" across the five boroughs.

The city policy requires all residential buildings to be kept above a certain temperature in cold weather.

The buildings must maintain a minimum indoor temperature of 68 degrees when it dips below 55 outside.

And overnight, buildings must be at least 62 degrees.

"Heat season" runs from the beginning of October to the end of May.

If your building isn't being properly heated, you can file an official complaint by calling 311.
