Two people were injured after an SUV plowed into a Staten Island restaurant Friday night, according to officials.

Emergency officials said the two victims suffered minor injuries after the vehicle crashed into the Il Sogno Ristorante at 26 Jefferson Boulevard in Annadale around 7:30 p.m.

While the white Escalade did not appear to sustain any damage, the restaurant's front window was completely shattered.

"We saw a car that ran into this restaurant. There was an ambulance afterwards. There was a person who actually got hurt, but we don't know to what extent it was," one witness said. "We were standing over here. It was really, really awkward. The car just bust into there. There's glass all over the place.”

It is unclear what led to the crash.
