The Bronx is celebrating its cuisine with its very own restaurant week.

Borough president Ruben Diaz Jr. visited Patricia's Restaurant on Morris Park Avenue on Thursday to promote the fifth annual "Savor the Bronx" event.

More than 40 restaurants are offering discounts on meals throughout the borough.

"We have everything from Italian food to seafood all over the Bronx. This is a great way to spend quality time with your family, to support a local business, and to do it in a way where's it's affordable," Diaz Jr. said.

"It's exciting to have people come and discover a new eatery, experience the cuisine and enjoy the borough because we do have an incredibly vibrant culinary scene here in the Bronx," said Bronx Tourism Council Executive Director Olga Luz Tirado.

"Savor the Bronx" kicks off Monday and runs through November 13.
