Many people make New Year's resolutions, hoping to improve their lives. But as some of us know firsthand, we don't always stick with them.

Vishen Lakhiani has made it his mission to change that and help people achieve their goals.

In 2003, he founded Mindvalley, a platform that brings leading educators in the fields of meditation, fitness and health together to share their knowledge.

He joined NY1 on Tuesday to share more on how you can use those tools too.

Lakhiani says that New Year’s resolutions are a waste of time. Instead, he suggests being intentional by bringing daily practices and inspiration into your life.

He says you can do so through meditation, journaling, setting goals, acts of kindness, and having gratitude.

Lakhiani dives more into the ways people can improve their lives in his book, “The Six Phase Meditation Method.”
