Studies have shown New Yorkers walk more than people in any other American city.

New Yorkers walk to work, to school, walk up and down the stairs to the subway — not to mention many people’s jobs require them to spend lots of time standing.

All that walking can put a serious strain on our feet, and if not carefully managed, can lead to serious health issues.

April is National Foot Health Awareness Month, and medical professionals are urging New Yorkers to consider how they treat their feet.

Dr. Rock Positano, founder and director of the Non-Surgical Foot & Ankle Service at the Hospital for Special Surgery, joined “Mornings On 1” to talk more about the importance of taking care of your feet.
