Author Richard Morais is a fifth generation New Yorker who writes stories where cultures clash in far away settings, but the inspiration for his work can be found here in the city.

His book “The Hundred Foot Journey” looked at an Indian chef who immersed himself in the world of French cuisine.

It became a Hollywood movie produced by Stephen Spielberg and Oprah Winfrey.

Now Morais has a new book, “The Man with No Borders”, which follows a banker from Spain living in Switzerland with his American wife.
