The U.S. Supreme Court ruled Monday that no state can ban former President Donald Trump from a state primary ballot.

The ruling came after Colorado disqualified Trump from appearing on the Republican primary ballot back in December — citing his actions on Jan. 6, 2021 as the reason.

While the decision was unanimous, the justices split on technicalities, with the majority ruling that no state can prevent a federal candidate from appearing on the ballot.

Meanwhile, 16 states are preparing to hold their primaries Tuesday. It’s the biggest primary election day of the year, also known as Super Tuesday.

However, voters won’t know the fate of several of Trump’s other legal battles until much of the primary season has concluded.

Rep. Dan Goldman, who represents Lower Manhattan and parts of Brooklyn, joined NY1 political anchor Errol Louis on “Inside City Hall” Monday to discuss more.
