Gov. Kathy Hochul announced several housing initiatives during her State of the State address last week, as she looks to combat the growing affordable housing crisis across the city and state.

Annemarie Gray, executive director of the housing nonprofit Open New York and a former housing advisor to Mayor Eric Adams, joined Bobby Cuza on “Inside City Hall” Thursday night to discuss Hochul’s housing vision, the growing affordability crisis around the city and state, as well as the group’s own policy agenda.

That agenda includes initiatives like legalizing certain multi-family homes, streamlining the building of new homes, ensuring every neighborhood contributes to housing growth, empowering tenants, and fast-tracking social housing.
