She is one of the most successful African American women in the restaurant and catering business in New York City.

The renowned restauranteur opened her doors in Harlem in 2005.

One of the few entrepreneurs born and raised in Harlem, Wilson shared how the business has evolved.

Known as the premier comfort food destination in the city, Wilson explains why she wanted to serve the community that raised her.

She says she purposely chose a street with a bad reputation and explains how her iconic soul food restaurant revitalized the neighborhood.

During the pandemic, Wilson went from serving more than 300 diners a day to zero.

She discussed how she survived and how she’s managing today.
