President of Black Edfluencers United, Dr. Shango Blake, and chair of the organization's culture and community committee, Keturah Hardy, join "In Focus" to kick off Juneteenth.

BE-U works to serve black educators, influence others and impact black children by developing a system of networking and mentorship. Hardy discusses the work BE-U's doing to provide black and brown students with financial education and resources to be free from unnecessary financial burdens.

Blake discusses how the organization supports its members as they return to in-person schooling while still managing the pandemic and the New York City public schools' black studies program. The program teaches about the history and contributions of black Americans.

Hardy talks about how Black Edfluencers United raises awareness about the systemic challenges within education and ensures equity and transparency at all schools.
