Betsy Plum, the executive director of Riders Alliance, joined “In Focus” with Cheryl Wills Sunday to discuss Mayor Eric Adams and the Department of Transportation’s recent $900 million streets plan. The plan would target a thousand of the most deadly intersections in our city as New York has seen the most fatalities at this point in a calendar year since 2013.

Plum also explained how to better our buses, subway frequency and reliability and six-minute service. More than 8 million New Yorkers ride the bus and subway every day; more than the populations of Nevada and Connecticut combined.

The Riders Alliance is a non-profit organization fighting for better transit for all New Yorkers.
