Dozens of people went to the spot where a 31-year-old delivery driver was stabbed to death over the weekend in Brooklyn.

Yener Rodas was stabbed in the chest by two men, according to police. Rodas' two nephews were also injured in the attack, which police believe was an attempted robbery.

On Tuesday, family and friends lit candles and said prayers.

“We are devastated, but what can we do?” his brother said to the crowd in Spanish.

“It’s a hurt so deep. Even when you go to sleep and wake up, you’re still hurting,” his sister added, also in Spanish.

Rodas delivered groceries and also served as a janitor at a synagogue in Brooklyn. He came to the U.S. eight years ago from Guatemala.

“It’s one of the most painful moments for the community for this family to see somebody that came to this country just looking for better opportunities [having] to die this way,” said Lijia Guallpa, who is part of the Worker's Justice Project and helped organize the vigil.

The family has raised about $9,000 for funeral expenses via a GoFundMe page.

Police are still looking for the two suspects in the case.
